WHO AM I?

Who am I? you well may ask. I am a true blue Aussie male, will never see 78 again, live in the Real Australia, (South West Queensland) live with the handle of Robert John, was married for 52 years to a wonderful woman who passed away on 18th October 2006.

I have been extremely fortunate to have since remarried another wonderful woman. (Have to say that she is typing this.)
Who would think that there would be two such women and that I would be lucky enough to find them both?

We lived in the Northern Territory for a while after we were married, on a 1400 acre property 100klms from Darwin towards Kakadu.

We had solar and generator power, radio telephone and satellite internet.

The property is owned by Christian Outreach Centre Ministries in Darwin and profits go to overseas missions.

We had cattle, pigs and horses and grew watermelons, cantelope, honeydew and zucchinis.

In October 2008 we decided to come further south, moving to a property as caretakers 1 hour south of Morven. We went there sight unseen and were disappointed in the house so decided to hang up our tools and move into Charleville.

We love it here, you leave your car unlocked out shopping and only lock the house if you are going away.

We shifted to a home in the same street but up on top of the hill but alas this home was put on the market so after 11 months it was time to pack up again.
Much thought was given and we decided to move closer to Brisbane, Rob’s girls and cheap airfares to most places, just where to go was not easy but we chose Russell Island and are we happy here ?????    We sure are, have millionaire views out over the waters of the bay and are directly opposite Nth Stradbroke Island, could almost walk across at low tide.
